Privacy Policy

Abby (abbyfertility.com and the Abby Companion app) is a fertility navigation and treatment-tracking service. This Privacy Policy explains what personal and health data we collect across both the Navigation Report and the Companion app, how we use it, how it is stored, and the rights you have over your information. By using either service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

When you complete the Navigation Report intake form, we collect: - Contact information: your email address, and your name if provided - Demographic information: your age and, where relevant, your partner's age - Fertility history: number of previous pregnancies, pregnancy losses, and previous treatments - Lab results: AMH, FSH, estradiol, TSH, AFC, prolactin values, and whether lab work has been completed - Semen analysis data: concentration, motility, morphology, and volume (where applicable) - Medical history: known diagnoses, HSG results, cycle regularity - Goals and circumstances: number of children desired, urgency, budget range, insurance coverage - Free-text responses: any specific questions or notes you choose to include We do not collect payment information, government identifiers, or any data beyond what is needed to generate your report.

When you create a Companion app account and use it, we collect: - Account information: your email address, used to authenticate your account - Treatment profile: your treatment type, clinic name, preferred name, and your current stage in your treatment journey - Ongoing tracking data you provide through chat or the app directly: appointments, medications and dosing details, test results, symptoms, costs, and notes - Chat conversation history with the Companion, including any text or photos you send it We do not collect payment information, government identifiers, or any data beyond what is needed to provide the app.

Your data is used to provide the Abby service you're using: - Navigation Report: your intake responses are processed by an AI model to produce your report; your email address is used to deliver your report and respond to follow-up questions. - Companion app: your chat messages and the information you log are processed by an AI model to respond to you and to record appointments, medications, test results, symptoms, costs, and notes to your account; this logged data powers the app's calendar, timeline, and reminders. - Aggregated and anonymised data may be used to improve the quality and accuracy of future reports and the Companion app's responses. Your data is never sold, rented, shared with fertility clinics, advertisers, or any third party for commercial purposes.

Your data is stored securely in Supabase, a cloud database provider that stores data in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit. Companion app chat messages and health tracking data (medications, test results, symptoms, costs, and notes) are additionally encrypted at the application layer before they're stored, so this content isn't held as plain, readable text even within our own database. Navigation Report submissions are retained for 12 months from the date of submission, after which they are permanently deleted unless you have requested earlier deletion. Companion app data is retained for as long as your account remains active, since the app is designed for ongoing use throughout your treatment journey. If you close your account or request deletion, your Companion app data is permanently deleted, other than what we are required to retain by law.

Your data is processed by Anthropic's Claude models: the Navigation Report intake is processed to generate your report, and Companion app conversations (including any photos you attach) are processed to power its chat and logging. Anthropic's data usage and privacy policies apply to this processing. Under Anthropic's standard commercial API terms, your data is not used to train their models by default. Your email address is used only to: - Deliver your fertility navigation report - Send secure sign-in links and account-related notices for the Companion app - Respond to questions you send us directly - Send service-related communications necessary to fulfil your request We use Resend to send emails. We do not send marketing emails without your explicit consent, and you may opt out at any time by replying to any email we send.

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. We use Google Analytics (with anonymised IP addresses) solely to understand aggregate usage patterns — for example, how many people complete the intake form. No personally identifiable information is passed to Google Analytics. The Companion app can be installed on your device as a Progressive Web App and uses a service worker for basic offline functionality. This does not involve any additional tracking — it only caches app assets on your own device so the app loads reliably.

You have the right to: - Access the personal data we hold about you - Request correction of inaccurate data - Request deletion of your data at any time, including closing your Companion app account and deleting all associated data - Withdraw consent for processing at any time To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@report.abbyfertility.com. We will respond within 30 days.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
